THE DOMINO EFFECT

Many of the habits, patterns and behaviors that make up our daily lives are interconnected, so a change in one behavior activates a sort of chain reaction and leads to changes in related behaviors, described as” the domino effect “.

The Alexander Technique views the body as an integrated entity where the tension in one area can influence other parts.

EXAMPLE

  • excessive tension in the neck and shoulders and pulling the head back and down (compressed nerves and voice problems )
  • shortened torso and misalignment of the spine ( restricted rib cage and breathing problems )
  • pressure and stiffness in the joints
  • anterior pelvic tilt
  • tension in the legs ( loss of balance and grounding )

By becoming aware of your tension and habitual movement patterns you can break a ripple effect and initiate change that can lead to improved posture and coordination. In this workshop you will learn to regain a ‘neutral state ‘ of the body to be a starting point for initiating any activity.
It will help you to stay calm, centered and resilient in stressful situations.
